The entry-level dental assistant course is made to introduce students to the various aspects of dentistry needed for becoming a competent and proficient dental assistant.

We are able to teach the fundamentals of dental assisting in a shorter amount of time.

ENTRY LEVEL DENTAL ASSISTANT IN A 8 WEEK DURATION COURSE AND 40 – HOUR EXTERNSHIP

MAIN COURSE

We are licensed and regulated by the Florida Board of Dentistry, so you will receive certificates to practice as a dental assistant as in any other school in Florida.

Students may begin seeking employment as a dental assistant with the dental assistant (104 hours diploma of completion) No board is required to work as a dental assistant.

Students that will like to pursue National Recognition can apply through Dental Assistant National Board for the DANB Certification at:  https://www.danb.org

COMBO CERTIFICATION

EFDA and Dental X-Ray certification combo is meant for the dental assistant who has been formally trained by a licensed dentist experienced in expanded Functions with a minimum of 3 months on the job.

You must email proof of training to our office before you attend the certification of the clinical hands-on portion held in our office.

 

A Florida expanded functions dental assistant certification and a dental x-ray certification will be given upon demonstration of competency and satisfactory completion of the written exam.

This course is 1 day long and will have  cost $870.

COURSE HOURS

 12 IN HOUSE Lecture Hours/

 7 Clinical Lab Hours in our facility.

8 Am 3 PM.

These courses are approved by Florida board of dentistry.

DENTAL X-RAY REFRESHAL COURSE FOR CERTIFICATION
Examining an X-ray

To attend dental X-Ray certification courses you must provide proof of already done training in dental assisting by having an employment/training verification form signed employment verification before attending part 2 of the course from the clinical hands taking place at our office.  This certification is for a dental assistant who has been formally trained by a licensed dentist in expanded functions and duties with a minimum of 3 months of the job training.

This is a 1-day long course.

Cost: $320

Dental Checkup

Our Certification have been divided into two parts.

 

Part 1- the instructional (IN HOUSE) written portion of the course and exams are completed online before you attend.

Part 2 – is the clinical hands-on portion of the course completed in person at our facility. An exam from both of the parts will be required to earn the certification.

  • X-ray Ring Assembly

  • Positioning of X-ray Rings

  • Film/Sensor Exposure

This is a certification course, not a training course.

Entrance/Eligibility Requirements

Admission is open to any qualified applicant. No qualified person may be excluded from enrollment in the American Academy of Dental Science (AADS) training program based on age, race, gender, disability, or national origin.  Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Have an interest in the chosen program/course by internet

  2. Be at least 18 years of age or have written permission of parents or guardians

  3. Provide proof of at least a high school diploma or GED
